You can argue he was outplayed by Gasol in the 2010 Playoff and Finalz and statistically he was.
From 00-02 he did not elevate himself above VC or TMac.
From 00-05 he did not elevate himself above TMac.
From 05-11 he did not elevate himself above Wade or Lebron.
He got to play 8 years with the Jordan of his Era (Prime Shaq).
He got to play almost his entire Career with Phil Jackson.
He got to play the last 3-4 Years of his Career with a Top 3 League-Wide Supporting Cast and arguably the best front court in the league and best 3rd man / 6th man in Odom.
You're making yourself sound more stupid each time you post. I wouldn't be surprised if you were Bruce Blitz

Re: More overrated player in NBA history
lol at anyone saying Kobe. He is a top 10 player all-time. It's like calling Jerry Rice overrated or something. Calling an all-time great overrated just makes you look like an idiot.

He has a legion of stans who think he is top 2 or even the GOAT. That is overrating him.

There are a lot of uneducated people that call Lebron a top 5 player all-time too. I've heard it a decent number of times before. So do you think he is overrated too?

If you can't see that the majority of basketball fans overrate Kobe, I can't help you. You could be the 2nd greatest player ever and be overrated FYI.

This. I don't like passing judgement on players I didn't personally see since all. I have are the numbers and they don't tell the full story. So to keep it to what I've witnessed firsthand, Reggie Miller is the big one. Bravo to the voters for not putting him in the HOF so far and shame on them if he one day does make it. In no way does he deserve it. Without Spike Lee, Miller is largely forgotten by now.
Kobe is overrated as well...in a sense. I think generally speaking, he isn't. He's a great player who gets his properr recognition. But when it comes to his fanboys who put huim on the same level as Jordan (who I personally hate but I can't deny his GOAT status), that is the epitome of "overrated". It's not even close really.
I'll throw another name out there for discussion: Patrick Ewing.

Re: More overrated player in NBA history
Patrick Ewing was ruined by the Knicks organization. He came out of of Georgetown looking for all the world like the next Bill Russell but the Knicks ruined him by trying to make him the next Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Poor RG.... Dwight>>>Yao.Also glass foot yao is the most overrated

If Kobe homers/stanleys/trolls don't see it, then you are good.
Other than that, welcome to ISH. Watch out for trolls.
