I'd have 0 problem if we used this money to go after a younger, better C in Marc Gasol. However, Chandler has a history of playing well for 1 season then disappearing the next. He goes from an "overpaid/injury prone" Center to a "centerpiece" of a defense. I cant imagine the thought of doing this deal with him of all people.

You do realise you're signing only an above average center for the MAX deal. 15M/year. Dude's gonna make more money then D-Wade.
IMO the Knicks should stick with the plan. Go after Kwame or Dalembert, and just wait for CP3.

What makes you say either needs a good PG to play well? We haven't really seen Amar'e without a good PG so that claim makes no sense. Chandler's best year came with a social security version of Jason Kidd.

I've always been of the belief we need to grab CP3.

The problem is that our PG will be Iman Shumpert or Toney Douglas.
I dont see either really running the offense well enough for Amare or Chandler to be successful. In fact Shumpert & TD are more of a SG than a PG.

You don't know if we can though. Like with Melo, people assume they know what or what he will not do. Perhaps teh Knicks heard that he's open to resigning with wherever he gets traded. Then what? Or if the Lakers rumor is correct. Then we are ****ed, he's not leaving LA.
