Nope not at all, remember the Lakers were a 5th seed in Western Conference, either the Mavs or Kings could've destroyed them in WCF anyway. Even incase that Lakers team survived WCF the Nets should have no problem sweeping them in NBA finals.

Well lets face it the Lakers in 2003 sucked, did not stand a chance against teams like the Spurs, Mavs, Kings, Nets and even the Pistons we swept.

They were only the 5th seed cause SHaq missed what 16 games with most at the beginning of the season.
The Lakers would have beat the Mavs,Kings in 6 tops. The Nets in 5 tops.

1987 NBA Finals Game 4. Bird misses a 3 from the corner after Magic makes his junior, junior sky hook. If Bird hits that shot then the series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 in Boston.

Dude STFU. If the Lakers would have played the Nets again Shaq and Kobe would have sh*tted all over them again. Maybe New Jersey gets 1 game.

Nope, everything has changed since then. The Nets were a much better playoffs team in 2003, sweeping Celtics and Pistons along the way. Lakers were so much superior in 2002 but in 2003 they sucked. Believe or not, the Nets would need no more than 4 games to defeat the Lakers in 2003 had they advanced instead of the Spurs.

First game of last year's Mavs-Lakers series.
If Kobe hits that three, LA pulls out a close one and maybe they don't disntegrate the way they did.

Surprised it hasn't been said yet, but Courtney Lee's missed alley-oop layup at the end of regulation in Game 2 of the '09 Finals came to mind. ORL goes home with a series split.

2010 Finals: Celts vs Lakers
Imagine if Boston hit that last shot. That would've been disappointing for any and every Laker fan in the world.
