Shumpert's D is ten times better than Davis' at this point in their careers. I think Lin keeps his starting spot.

However, what is Woodson going to bring to the Knicks' offense that wasn't their pre-linsanity?

This is the best possible news Knicks fans could have hoped for this season.

I feel this was the right move. The Knicks weren't going to win anything with D'Antoni anyway even if they got rid of Anthony. He's not that type of coach to me. If the Knicks still continue their underachieving ways they need to look to move Anthony somehow if this continues.

Either way, I expect them to improve now.

    LOL, this is great.

So, when they keep playing like garbage with Melo and Amar'e, the homers are gonna be like "Oh, they're just taking time to adjust to the new coach!"

When will they open their eyes?

And if they improve, will you say D'Antoni sucks?

If Melo and Amar'e suddenly start playing better and the Knicks start winning, I will be the first to say I was wrong.

But if they start winning because Lin is leading the way and Melo/Amar'e have reduced roles, well, then we know the answer to why they weren't playing well, don't we!

mike woodson will never put the ball in lin's hands. it's going to be isos for melo/amare all day. seriously, do people not remember atlanta? there's a reason why he's not the coach there anymore

D'Antoni's resignation is really going to bite the Knicks in the arse. I don't think anybody on the team had a problem with him aside from Melo.

Lin and Davis should both be pissed. Knicks played their best ball in D'Antoni's offense while Melo was out. Now, they'll both be duds as they watch Anthony iso the entire 24-sec shot clock away.

    Outside of trading Carmelo.

Tell me one great team in this league that is lead by a volume scorer that doesn't hustle his butt off?

    Zero.

Melo is a ball stopping volume shooter. Talented? Yeah. A workaholic that does all the little things? No. That's the Lebron-Wade-Durant-Rose style player. That's not Melo. He'll never lead a team to great things without changing a lot.

I wonder if all the Melo haters talking about isos have ever watched Melo play with Nuggets pre-Billups.
