Default Nets-Hawks discussing Joe Johnson; HOU-BKLYN talks of Scola broke down

    https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/stat...39326012280832

Brooklyn and Atlanta are engaged in talks on a possible Joe Johnson trade, sources tell Y! Nets plan would be to pair with Deron Williams.

    Woj adds more:
Both Hawks and Nets are engaged in talks on several fronts. No deal close on Johnson, but sides have gone back and forth on possibility.

Houston and Brooklyn were deep in discussions on trade for Luis Scola on Saturday, but talks fell apart before completion, sources tell Y!

Nets-Rockets trade talks surrounding Luis Scola, reported by @WojYahooNBA, "put on hold" by both teams, source says. Still could be revived.

Wow, you are fast!!! It just hit my twitter, I switch over to ISH and you already had a thread.

    The Flash!!!!

This could be just a salary dump for Atlanta and maybe a young talent or two.

It could work out for both teams, get rid of Joe's huge contract, the Net's owner can afford lux taxes and it would attract other FAs.

While Atlanta could get a young guy like Brooks in return.

Can they fit Deron's, JJ's, and Dwight's contracts all under the cap?

I don't want to start a whole new thread for a question that can be answered in one comment, so:

When did rep get back? Love the rep system.

You have to imagine MarShon Brooks is involved. Brooklyn doesn't have any other worthwhile pieces, or else you'd have to be taking trade pieces out of a potential trade for Dwight to use on Joe Johnson.

Maybe the report is wrong and it's a trade to team Joe up with Dwight? Maybe Deron to Dallas is starting to take shape..? Who the hell knows.

Maybe, Deron and Dwight would have to take pay-cuts maybe down to 11-13 Mil a year.

Honestly Brooklyn is one of the few places that makes sense for a Joe trade. It would certainly help bring back Deron and it would lure other players.

At this point it wouldn't be about compensation for Atlanta. It would be about getting Joe's massive contract off the books. Hell just get enough to fit Joe in and give Atlanta maybe one good piece in return like a Brooks and call it a deal.
