Default I was checking out basketball ref, and noticed that Kobe...

Was leading the league with 416 shot attempts. I scrolled my eyes down a little bit to see where Lebron ranked, and he wasn't in the list. I then saw that Kobe was leading the league in FG made, and Lebron was number 2.

Here's what they're shooting so far.
Lebron: 155-271
Kobe: 189-416
Kobe has taken 145 more shots than Lebron, and I can only imagine it's going to get bigger. (Also that last nights games have yet to be added.) Is Lebron a better scorer since he's only averaging less than one point less than Kobe?

Field Goal Attempts
1. Kobe Bryant 416
2. Carmelo Anthony 319
3. LaMarcus Aldridge 306
4. Kevin Durant 299
5. Kevin Love 293

In fairness Kobe has played 2 more games than Carmelo.

Lebron is a more efficient scorer by the looks of it, but they are both still top tier scorers. This sh1t gets beaten to death

Are you suggesting that the further you shoot the ball, the more shots you should put up?

can't compare when shot selection is very different. kobe's scoring has a different role for his team as he has to play with two bigs.

Therefore their efficiency differs. I can't believe people don't understand this.

LEbron is shooting a high percentage because he is living near the rim. and getting several fastbreak dunks/layups/drive a game and have cut out three point shooting from his arsenal.

How can people be so idiotic?

Not really. It's because he has been injured. He'd be right up there otherwise.
