Boston is exactly 45 minutes north of my home on the Southcoast of Massachusetts. Truth is the entire New England region is considered the "market" for all of our pro sports teams.

If I was born in Iraq I'd be dead. If I was born in Africa I'd be starving. And **** the Pistons I don't care if I live close.

I live about 10 miles from Staples Center. 15-35min commute depending on traffic. I work less than a mile away from Staples Center, and I usually pass it by during my weekday commute.

If you don't live near your team, let us know where you're at (even if it's not in the U.S. )
yup, kinda figured you were a college kid.

Live in the city of Chicago, about 45 mins from the United Center via public transport, however i'm not a Bulls fan. I am a Celtics fan. Became a Celtics fan when the Big 3 formed and love the team tradition so much i decided to stay rooting for the Celtics even after the big 3 leave. Consider me a bandwagoner turned real fan.

I think it's funny that fans believe living where their team is something to be proud of. More than anything, it proves you have been sucked into a hype machine without making your own decision.
I think college teams are good to follow if you went there or live where it is, but NBA teams? It's accepting the bare minimum. Obviously, it's cool to go to the games, and it would be odd to dislike the team that you were near, but to force yourself and like them and their players because you live there and everyone else does it? Doesn't seem like something to be proud of to me...
