whoah underrated pick up. There are a lot of contenders that might come to regret not signing this guy. Laugh all you want he might just be the X factor for the Nets.

They don't need Blatche, they need a guy who is more reliable and ready to step in if Lopez goes down. And if he looks good, he's gone because they won't be able to afford him. So it's not like even "maybe he develops into something later on".

You don't fill your bench with bad character guys who are going to bitch when they don't play, especially since he's not going to play.

There's no downside but he doesn't fill the role they'd want him to fill.

With Blatche, the Nets can get 30-35 points a night from their bench. Watson and Brooks will get you 20 combined. Tele, Evans, and Blatche can contribute 10-13 points combined. Very good offensive bench. Great pickup.
