I don't know whether these guys did it nor not, and my initial inclination would be that they didn't but this whole idea of dismissing the idea that they could have done it shows how much Americans worship celebrities.

Remember a couple of years ago when Juwan Howard was caught stealing sunglasses at a store? If it wasn't for the video footage I'm sure a lot of you same idiots would be saying "yeah right, he's a millionaire!, like he needs to steal!!"

Human beings are capable of all types of things whether they're millionaires or not and automatically assuming that because someone is an athlete, rich, etc. that they won't committ crimes is foolish.

It reminds me of when people autoamtically sais that Kobe didn't rape that girl because "He doesn't need to rape". That makes the dangerous assumption that no man who's good looking, rich, etc. has ever raped someone. An idiotic assumption. (Not getting into whether Kobe was guilty or not, just the automatic dismissal of the possibility due to his celebrity status).

I'm not guaranteeing this didn't happen but right now the story has no legitimacy. It's now been a few days since this supposedly happened and yet the victim has not come forward to press charges, the Celtics haven't addressed it, it's just a second-hand story on FB. The Bryant case had an accuser, a trial, and Bryant came to some settlement with the woman. So there's a lot more reason for suspicion than this story which anyone could have made up, written, and had as much validity. If they're not going to take this to the police there's no reason to take it serious.
