Just finished watching The Sopranos yesterday and it is good but to me it's not better than The Wire.

Why do people think Tony died?

He killed the dude that was after him so he didn't have any worries.

The last 2 or 3 episodes had my heart pounding.

But I felt like I didn't really get to know the main characters like on The Wire.

The characters on The Wire was more interesting too.

Chrissy reminded me of Jesse from Breaking Bad also. It sucked that T killed him but I get why.

The show seemed like it had a lot of filler episodes too.

This is just my opinion so don't bite my head off.

Both shows were great but I just liked The Wire a lot better

Me too, the sopranos felt like it dragged in some episodes. I preferred the wire and OZ to sopranos.

The fact that you called Phil Leotardo "The Dude" makes me not take your opinion seriously.

Also, Tony had a lot of enemies, it could have been anyone who killed him out of revenge. A father, brother,cousin, family member.

The fact that you think that Tony does not have any worries anymore shows you did not really pay attention to the show or gave it a chance.

Hence , you think that The Wire is better.

I like the Wire though.

I agree with your opinion and more specifically, the whole filler episodes thing. That's what makes The Sopranos less re - watchable, and as a result is lower ranked than The Wire (in my top tv shows lost). Great show and everything but a lot of episodes can be dull, especially if you try to rewatch them. I also think the wire did well by changing it up every season and focusing on a different aspect, it made the show more interesting.

I like the Wire though.

I didn't like Phil so I didn't wanna call him by name.

I know he had enemies but Phil was his greatest enemy on the show.

Everyone else didn't make him bunker down like that.

2 of his main guys got wacked by Phil and they couldn't find him. That never happened in the show until last season.

Like I said the show was good but there was a lot of filler and it felt like it dragged on.

The Wire is the best show ever, I wish it kept going 10+ seasons at the same quality, sucks its only 5 seasons. I feel like nothing will ever match it.
