Shooters with the best range?
Not to piggyback on the other thread (though pauk's mentioning of range of shooters gave me the idea), but which shooters in your opinion have/had the best range? I'm talking about deep three range here (multiple steps behind the line), but not prayers (I'm not interested in half court heaves, but legit attempts).
Feel free to separate spot-up shooters from guys creating their own shots (or using other further categories).
Current
J.R. Smith 6
LeBron James 6
Kobe Bryant 5
Jimmer Fredette 3
Carmelo Anthony 2
Stephen Curry 2
Vince Carter 2
Chauncey Billups 2
Randy Foye
Jamal Crawford
Ryan Anderson
Kyle Lowry
Joe Johnson
Chris Paul
All-Time
Gilbert Arenas 3
Dan Majerle 3
Tracy McGrady 2
Stephon Marbury 2
Reggie Miller
Eric Piatowski
Peja Stojacavic

Kobe. He takes quite a bit of long 3s.

Current or all time?
All time would have to be Reggie miller.
On a related note I haven't seen jimmer take any of his famous WAAAY behind the line three pointers lately, but that guy has sick range.

Both are fine. Perhaps we can try and put together two separate lists.

What Jimmer Fredette did in BYU still makes me believe that he has the best range. Unfortunately, he seems to be restrained from doing so nowadays.

I was going to mention Arenas, also ad Eric Piatowski and Peja Stojacavic to the list.

In the NBA today, I'd put Randy Foye up there because I watch a lot of Jazz games and he consistently shoots from a few feet behind the arc, and still makes it.

Re: Shooters with the best range?
The NBA three point line is 23'9", standard three point line is 19'9". Most NBA fans don't appreciate how far 23'9" is. The guy at your local gym who drains 3 pointers from "anywhere" is shooting from at most 2-3 feet behind an NBA three point line. NBA players with deep range are a threat from 5-10 feet behind the NBA arc, roughly 34' jumpshots.
The only guy on the Bulls having that kind of range was Piatowski (who I already mentioned). Among guys who played against the bulls only two stood out: Gilbert Arenas and Peja Stojacavich (i already mentioned both). Gilbert was the only guy who had to be picked up 10-12 feet behind the arc, and the only guy I ever witnessed who could hit pullup jumpers from there. Stojacavich could catch and shoot from 5-8 feet behind the arc, literally the only guy who could do that on a regular basis.
Lebron will occasionally fire from out there but it isn't really part of his game. Kobe will shoot those shots, but nobody is afraid of his deep shooting.

I don't get picked last at the park anymore

Definitely gotta have J.R. in there. Jamal Crawford as well.
