Yeah theres actually been quiet a few games now that I have watched, where he goes in and gets calls that are clearly not fouls on a regular basis. The NBA in a perfect world would give every player in the L the same calls/non calls but its just not the case.

Anyone have the gif where Mario Chalmers scoring on a tip in is ruled no basket and 2 FTs for Durant?

I think we need to face reality. KD is obviously paying/blackmailing/threatening refs for FT's

Re: Durant and Lebron FT attempts
In the game against Miami it was really annoying. No one was even allowed to get close to Durant without being called for a foul! Some of the worst calls I've seen in a long time

This.
And he was like 0-6 I think until Lebron was called for his third foul and really started to play passive defense against Durant cuz of the foul trouble. That's when Durant started making shots.

Re: Durant and Lebron FT attempts
just saw this on another board
Durant: 1390 FGA (325 3PA), 730 FTA, 513 fouls drawn,
LeBron: 1332 FGA (253 3PA), 519 FTA, 428 fouls drawn,
FGA 5 feet or less:
LeBron: 563 FGA
Durant: 365 FGA
Here's what's crazier. Compare Lebron to himself
FGA 5 feet or less:
2004: 558
2005: 586
2006: 707
2007: 592
2008: 652
2009: 569
2010: 546
2011: 533
2012: 437
2013: 563
FTA:
2004: 460
2005: 636
2006: 814
2007: 701
2008: 771
2009: 762
2010: 773
2011: 663
2012: 502
2012: 519
FTA/FGA Ratio
2004: 0.82
2005: 1.09
2006: 1.15
2007: 1.18
2008: 1.18
2009: 1.34
2010: 1.42
2011: 1.24
2012: 1.15
2013: 0.92
He's driving more frequently this season than he has since 2010. It's not even a debate, the drive was not even a facet of his game in 2011, and last year it was common against awful defenses that frequently left a gaping hole open in the lane but that's about it. This season is easily the best he's looked physically since coming to Miami, and yet, for the only time since his rookie season, that ratio has fallen under 1.0.

Lebron drives to the rim more, but since most people can't stop him anyway, they just wont bother to defend him when he drives. It's either: hard foul him, defend him and fouls him and he still gets it in, or let him score.

You'll just grab hold of anything won't you? No matter how illogical?

how was that illogical?
the only way to stop Lebron when he drives to the basket is if you flagrant 2 him. So once it's clear that he will finish at the rim anyway, most of the time the defense just doesn't bother with defending him because it'll be useless.
