Why do I wake up in the middle of the night scared for my life?

We do weird stuff when we sleep

I once fell asleep on my stomach with both arms tucked under my chest. Woke up and both arms were asleep, couldn't use them to roll over and when I did get rolled over onto my back they were waving all over the place uncontrolled like a spastic.

That happens to me often.
