Speaking of better stories within games, I miss all of the turn-based RPGs that dominated SNES and PS1.

PS3 comes along and your character can finally stop looking like 8 red pixels on the world map, and we don't see any great turn-based RPGs.

Xenogears is criminally underrated.

You my friend must have never played Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon.

I have not, but after looking those up on google it appears they were developed by Microsoft and released for X-box 360 exclusively. I've stuck with Sony since moving on past SNES.

I'm more referring to top grossing games. PSX saw all three FF series sell over 5 million copies while the only PS3 games that have sold over 5 million include games like:

Call of Duty series
Gran Turismo
FIFA
Metal Gear Solid
Uncharted
God of War

Ever since Halo 2 and the evolution of online play, first person shooters have dominated the gaming field. Granted, if I had to play something online, it would be a shooter where you could spawn quickly and get some kills on more experienced players.

But sometimes you want to sit down and enjoy a great story with a long-winded game. Seems like there are no developers throwing big money into that bucket anymore.

Never played Cross... worth it?

The story line is not nearly as mature or complex as Xenogears, but if you're a Trigger fan you can appreciate the game. The battle system is also arguably better than Xenogears. I liked it better than the FF ones. Replay value is also through the roof, hands down best replay in all PSX RPGs in my opinion, but only if you liked playing the game first time around (10+ diff endings).

If you've got a PS3, you can download Cross for $10 and play it on your console. I'm sure you know other ways to play it as well.

Remoteplay could be a hit, or fail miserably if they never update the Vita's game library on it's own.

Let's be honest console gaming is dead. I am watching this meeting and they want to turn you into a loser.

They say when you leave your home you are left with your real life and real world but with this new sharing idea they have, when you leave your home your game follows you. Sounds counterproductive. ROFL
