People will have busted feet if they played in Air Jordans. There was a reason why MJ wore a new pair every game.
Fashion is cyclical too though remember. The mini skirt doesn't keep coming back because people can't come up with new designs. These old shoe styles fell out of favor for sleeker and minimalist designs, but now we are seeing a resurgence of brighter and more garish designs.

They were from when they originally came out. He kept multiples of each pair.

In fact newer models given the material Nike have been using makes current sneakers even less durable.
I'm just saying Air Jordans have become more or less like Chuck Taylor's. Your feet will get hurt.
Nobody plays in Air Jordans. They have become a luxury shoe. I use to own Air Jordans and played ball in them. They have become casual footwear due to poor technology and pricing.

I guess this is true.
You know you are getting old when kids are looking at the 90's for fashion. As a teen I remember the 70's was the popular thing. Now it's the 90's shoe fashion.

I actually like the colorways to those shoes.
I don't need to get basketball shoes anymore, as I don't play anymore. When I go out for drinks, dinner or to the clubs, I'm usually dressed up so I like to spend that money on dressy shoes. I have no problem dishing out $500-$1000 for a pair of shoes but I just don't have use for these sneakers nor can I match them with my wardrobe.
A pair of Air Max running shoes are fine though.

Yeah I remember in the early to mid 90s there was some sort of weird neo-hippy revival. It was horrible. I think movement was best captured by 4 non blondes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NXnxTNIWkc
