Rockets on standby to 'mercilessly strike' the U.S.
hmmm...
So what are your thoughts about going to war with Iran & N. Korea in the near future?

Does it really matter what our thoughts are? Do we believe anything the mainstream media tells us? Power does want it wants, and that's it. The MIC cannot be stopped, only slowed a little.

Yeah but whenever the media focus on one "dictator of pure evil", we know that they are preparing the people by brainwashing them into believing the cause.
So we might not be able to change anything, but it gives us a glimpse of what is on the horizon

Re: North Korea sure has been a hot topic in the news lately (CNN)
there's literally nothing to be gained from an american attack on north korea.
it's completely isolated internationally, the entire world has bought hook line and sinker the justifiable propaganda that its lead by a pathological hermit family, and its current economic course is as close as you get to unsustainable. they're essentially a client state for china, get a couple billion a year in return for supporting its pr and un business and waving its anti-american flags as vigorously as they can.
these military demonstrations are exactly that... meaningless except that they're just one more opportunity for jong-il to shout "I AINT AFRAIDAYOOO" from the rooftops and another opportunity for the united states to show off its military might without things getting messy. it's all posturing.
the popular theory is that the DPRK is lead by a couple insanoes who might, just might, be crazy enough in a moment of tension to commit the suicidal act of attacking a US ally or the US itself, especially with a nuke.
that's completely ridiculous and totally contradicted by the past 70 years, over which time no administration has ever risked retaliation by using a nuclear device because they understand full well they'll be obliterated to high hell if they even came close. the survival instinct of a political leader weighs much more than it does for a 'amateur' terrorist who wants to be a martyr. it's just unbelievably unlikely... case in point, best one anyway, is pakistan. that country's entire foreign policy against india has revolved around the exact same posturing, its in their goddamn constitution if i'm not mistaken that a preemptive nuclear strike should always be an option.
an attack on north korea won't happen because there's no reason for it to happen. iran on the other hand..........

The US is not going to war with North Korea. That would basically result in Seoul being flattened and missles being tossed all over in random directions at Korea and Japan (and possibly at China with how random they are.) It would be costly and gain nothing. The only scenario i could see was if the millitary seized control in North Korea and thought that was a way to consolidate power somehow, which i have trouble with seeing too.

They still don't have ICBMs though, meaning even if NK does have nukes on missles, they can't shoot them very far. Not even close to the US.

Fck NK though, no room in this modern world for a ridiculous nut bag dictator with nukes.
I'd be fine with invading if we ever decided to.

North Korea is no threat whatsoever. They don't even have enough fuel to test train their fighter pilots. They have 1960s technology with 1960s Russian tanks and war planes. They're on the verge of another depression. I live in South Korea and I can tell you they are all bark and no bite. They won't do anything. They will start chirping about nuking somebody just to get some food rations. Kim jong-in would not give up his star power to get in some war that he knows that he would lose.

This might wake the world up when we see NK get obliterated by Nukes etc.
Too much aggression and posturing going on from our leaders. I think the world needs a gentle reminder of how fcked up things get when they see the ramifications of war.

Yea but America can't afford to have anymore blood on their hands.
So someone else like China & Russia would have to support wiping
them out.
