The Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. While the Heat are the favorites to win the their second consecutive NBA championship, one NBA player doesn't agree.
Bucks guard Brandon Jennings stating "We're gonna win six" on Thursday, this according to the Bucks official twitter handle. Jennings also added "Fear the deer."
The Heat are 3-1 against the Bucks this season. Jennings averaging 24 points per game in those four games vs the Heat. With the best record in the NBA (66-16). Miami has home court advantage throughout their entire postseason run. Game 1 between the Bucks and Heat tips off at 7 PM Sunday on TNT.

Saying tthis is a worthwhile gamble. If he's wrong we laugh for a day or two and forget it amidst the excitement of the rest of the playoffs. In the unlikely event that he's right however, he's pulled a Namath.

If you go into a series thinking you cant win you dont belong in the NBA. Confidence is often unlikely....but its never wrong to have.
If it does anything to motivate his guys....good for him. If hes wrong hes wrong. I respect it more than someone going through the motions expecting to be home in a week.

You need to believe it but saying it to the media/public? Never good idea...

So what do you expect him to say? That they will lose to the Heat?

I think most players say something like, "I expect it to be a hard fought series and I hope we come out on top, I'll give everything."
But I like what he said, it puts some electricity in the air to the game.

Except they have literally no chance since the NBA wouldn't let them go further than the Heat. Remember the Pacers or Celtics series last year? No matter how close it seemed, they had no chance
