I think it would be dumb to make his season debut in game 3 of the 2nd round. Even if he was magically ready mentally today, I think he should just sit out. Sit out the rest of the playoffs. He may have been practicing but nothing replaces playing in games. And there will be a adjustment period for everyone.

Even if he did play, he would not get big minutes and likely wouldnt be much of a factor. Plus, the guys who are playing are the guys who have gotten them to where they are now. They have had success without Rose, I think they should just stay with who have gotten them there.

If it's a mental thing then he just needs to get out there and play to prove to himself that he will be ok. If he feels like he's not actually 100% the player he can be and was before the injury and thinks he needs to sit because of his physical condition then he should sit.

But also, if he is to play, it should be if the Bulls were down 3-1 as not to jeopardize anything in this series because they are tied 1-1 right now & yes he probably is better than Teague right now but Rose returning could also have a negative effect as his teammates are used to deferring to him and he isn't ready for that so the offense could suffer with him in the game with his teammates deferring and him trying to do too much right away.
