There are people out there who believe the earth is flat and 5g causes covid. The thing about big pharma is they do have an incentive to keep us alive because they need a population of people to pay their insane markups. So they do try to provide legit treatments most of the time. They don't wanna cure anything though, just keep the treatments going and the $$$ flowing.
