I'd love to see the list of all the fighters Mayweather has supposedly ducked... lol.

    Mosley? Margarito? And Manny?

3 fighters in his whole career, and when you consider that Margarito is a punching bag for the better fighters, you're down to 2.
Mosley? He ended up fighting him anyway... Down to 1.

Manny? Both fighters were stalling, and it's damn near insulting to insist Floyd was the only one looking for a way out of the fight. Manny didn't want to meet any of the agreements until later, where his team could go out and try to make Floyd look like the scared one publicly.

Who else has Floyd supposedly ducked?

Not saying Floyd ever ducked him but your logic doesn't work because Mosley was too old. The window had passed.

But best believe that, as with all fighters, Floyd's team weighs all the pros and cons, studies styles, looks for advantages (weight, glove size, ring size, etc) whenever a fighter's name is pulled out of the hat. In some cases, they decide that X fighter isn't worth the risk.

Call it 'ducking', cherry-picking, etc but all fighters want the best match ups that highlights their skills and moves them up a notch in the rankings, money scale, etc. Obviously with Floyd set to make a $41 mil guarantee and being ranked #1 P4P, his team's matchmaking has been immaculate. And he acknowledges that now.
I actually agree here that almost all fighters have their majority of their career, with hand picked/cherry picked fighters. We all know its a business. But it's funny because Floyd and a lot of his obnoxious fans like to rip other fighters for for having easy, cherry picked fights. When Floyd admits, it's all fine and dandy. This is just boxing folks! But people sure love to rip fighters like a Chavez Jr or Canelo for the same thing.

Is very hypocritical. Between the whole catch weight thing and now this, it's hilarious.

Floyd definitely ducked P Williams....yet again alot of folks did. Dude had to move up in weight not because he couldnt make it anymore but because he could no longer get fights.

Didn't Mayweather retire when Welterweight was the hottest division in boxing and not fight Cotto, PAC, P. Williams, Margarito, Mosley and Martinez (ironically they in a roundabout way pretty much all fought each other though in this time period) was at 154 then too

True that, but I also sensed some sarcasm in Floyd when I saw the video...Also, Floyd is fighting the best option there is right now IMO.

Yeah but Floyd was also near-prime, he would have beaten Mosley and Cotto even worse. I don't think he would have lost to any of them to be honest, and I think Canelo is a bigger risk(besides Pac and maybe Martinez), especially due to Floyd's age.

People seem to forget, although Floyd is undefeated, he is pretty far removed from his prime. His prime ended when he moved up to fight DLH.

Funny thing about the "Floyd ducked Mosley" stuff is that Floyd actually was chasing SM around when Shane was the hot name in the early-00s and Floyd was just starting to get recognition.

Then, Floyd leap-frogged Shane after the DLH fight and suddenly Shane starts chasing Floyd.

There are very good reasons why the fight didn't take place in either of those instances. It's not because of either guy "ducking," but just a case of two guys rising and falling at different times. Basically, what Don said above. The fight made sense when it finally came to fruition.

Floyd was the biggest name in the sport... Shane was coming off of the best win he had in many years. It would have been a fascinating fight if it had happened sooner, but it wasn't to be.

As for the other two... I'm still firmly of the mind that Arum never had any intention of making a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight and Floyd certainly did nothing to pressure him into doing it. In fact, by letting his ego get involved (as usual), Mayweather gave Arum exactly the kind of out he was looking for.

That leaves Margarito... and, once again, it was a match-making decision. And, f#ck Margarito.

A game Oscar DLH would beat the piss out of Canelo and KO him at 154 IMO.

Non sequitur, and yes, of course I can. Maybe not in a sissy rules boxing ring but otherwise, yes.
