This.
It's fascinating to compare Wilt and Russell's 59-60 and 61-62 seasons, as well as their team's records. Chamberlain ran away with the MVP in his rookie season of '60. Then, two years later, in seasons in which both team's pretty much duplicate their records, and Russell puts up nearly identical stats...while Chamberlain just blows his '60 stats out of the water...and Russell wins the MVP award easily?
BTW, Chamberlain was voted first-team all NBA ahead of Russell that season...and in fact, would hold a 7-2 edge over him in first-team selections in their 10 years in the league together.
Oh, and Chamberlain was also robbed of the award in '64, as well. AND, given the criteria that was used in '62, how did Wilt not win the award in '72?
