The outcomes mean nothing, but the games meant something for the Nets. The Nets probably expected to lose both games (fans did before game 1), but they handled the Heat defense with ease and they imposed their D on the Heat. Whether or not that can do that in the regular season or post season, is another story, but no matter how you slice it, it was a confidence booster for the Nets... while admittedly meaning very little to the Heat.
