Is CP3 the most overrated player of all time?

I'd take CP3 over Rose in a heartbeat. Rose plays in the East, Paul in the West. Paul can shoot, is effecient and clutch. And can pass as good as anyone. Rose is more athletic and can penetrate better.. that's about it. Some of the games Paul had, and there were some in the playoffs as well.. while playing with the Hornets that would blow your mind to watch. Hasn't seemed as good in LA but it's sort of like Nash in Pheonix. The team plays no D and can't go deep in the playoffs. Doesn't mean Nash/Paul aren't great PG's.

Given the context of this quote, these averages are meant to sound somewhat dismissive. The only other players in the history of the NBA to produce these numbers over their careers are Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Isiah Thomas. Before you start judging Paul on "team accomplishments," just take that in for a moment and try to rationalize any criticism towards him.

Overrated? I'd disagree. He gets a pass from the media in situations where other players would get absolutely shitted on, but his ability and skill is by no means overrated.

Currently he's a litttle overated due to his reputation.

But before his major injury in 2009 he really was that good. He had amazing athleticism back then and of course he has the skills (vision, long range shooting, handles, good defensive anticipation). He was a smarter Iverson with great vision and better defense.

I think CP3 is under-rated. But he his one flaw is highlighted these last three years when you say Iverson. Iverson's pure courage was off the charts. That's why people say he's pound of pound the greatest. If CP3 said forget it, I'm just going hard, he's the best player in the game. He's been over thinking the last three years and its affecting his teammates performances the last two years. Paul isn't going to force anything to happen when Iverson just kept coming at you. Teams respond far worse to pressure than intellect these days.

He is very overrated. Small, unathletic PG's are very overrated. They are too small to dominate and when was the last time a winning team was lead by a CP3 type of PG?
