PER allowed, defensive win share %, defensive rating. The three main ones, KD was better than LeBron at all of them. And probably better at any other significant ones you can find as well. The main difference is LeBron has all of his coaches/teammates + himself and the media all campaigning for him to win DPOY while Durant does not.

Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Grant Hill, Reggie Miller, Karl Malone - they were championship material. Durant and CP3 are great players. They would be great additions, role players to compete for a championship. They're not mentally good enough to build a championship team around.
