About to apply for my first job ever

I just think in my experience when it comes to a real job employers prefer honest answers and will be happier if you demonstrate that you are willing to learn and willing to solve problems rather than lying and claiming you know things you don't. I've worked with a couple of guys who did that and both didn't last 6 months because pretty quickly people realise they don't know anything. Maybe it's just the industry I work in.
