uh all the place around here have always wanted resumes even for jobs like this, yeah they don't have much on them but they show that the person is literate and takes it seriously.

Why would you do a resume when you have no work experience?

I highly doubt that a country ass grocery store would ask for a resume.

I'm from a country town and to work at the grocery store there you wouldn't even need to fill out a app because everybody knows each other.

it's not really a country ass grocery store. it's a super market technically. i call it local since there is only one. it's not like a chain or anything. i thought a resume was basically the same as a job application. since it's just info on a sheet of paper...

nah if they give you a form application you just fill it out, resumes have structure and cover letters and references. The places me and my friends worked at around here wanted resumes even though most of them had no experience, mainly to prove that they were smart enough to actually do it.

Thanks, I haven't worked anywhere before (not like officially), but I have done work for people for free or just for lunch. I figure I can put in all the stuff I participate in and the fact I'm on honor roll and stuff like that. Definitely won't lie in an interview.

every job I've been for and gotten I've been told that one of the reason they selected me was because I didn't lie and claim I knew everything, I answered honestly and provided ways I'd find out what I needed to know to solve the problems thrown at me. They've all told me they hate people who come in and act like they know everything as their the ones who don't ask and then mess things up later.
