Still no mid range game, altough he is making for the lack of it with his 3 point shooting.

Re: lebron's raw shooting numbers from the floor right now
Funny I only saw two games and I thought his game was off. If he was hot in the games I saw he would be at like 63%. But he's always had great judgement to me. He could be at 58% this year.

Dude is coasting and still shooting like 60% from the field, lol. Stat monster.

He sucks at midrange going into detail tho as time I posted this, so he isn't a monster everywhere on the floor and the 2pt shot is a bit deceiving in terms of mid range game.
16-23 feet is only shooting 31% and the 10-16 feet he is only shooting 25%.

Pretty bad numbers by his standards, but right now he has been a monster in the paint, around the rim, and outside.

It is impressive but his 3pt numbers for sure wont stick. I think his FT% also going down so far should be an area of concern.
He's gonna NEED a midrange game once the playoffs hit this year. Turns out shooting like 10/12 with all of the 10 being in the paint vs trash teams doesn't translate well to the playoffs

Not like Lebron has won 2 straight finals MVPs or something...

5/7=71%>>3/9=33%
Re: lebron's raw shooting numbers from the floor right now
Take enough DeAndre Jordan like field Goal attempts (dunks, layups, low field goal attempts) and you will shoot a DeAndre Jordan like field goal percentage.

Depends on the situation. If a team is taking away the paint and giving you a wide open mid range shot then it is not the least efficient shot in the game. Trying to take it into the teeth of the D around multiple defenders would be a less efficient shot than a wide open mid range shot from someone who is can shoot them well.
In an ideal situation one primarily wants layups, paint shots and wide open threes because of the way the game has evolved over time. However, defenses are trying to take away those things now more than ever, so the mid range is often a weak spot on the defense. Attacking that weak spot can help keep the defense honest and create more opportunities for oneself and one's teammates. A complete game is important to be able to thrive in every situation.

Did you not watch the way he won? Spurs were putting Tiago Splitter and Boris Diaw on LeBron and having success. Winning off of a miracle 3pter when you were close to losing in 6 games is not nearly as impressive as you clowns are acting like.
They beat an old ass and banged up spurs team and nearly lost. Look at what Durant did to the Spurs squad that was fully healthy and a year younger with Ginboli actually playing decent. KD was getting DOUBLE TEAMED and torched them so much. Had a game where he scored 16 straight points in the 4th for OKC. Spurs had no options and then Popovich called Durant the best player on the planet. Had they put Splitter or Diaw on KD for long stretches he's dropping 50 on them.
Thats why Durant is the best offensive player in the league right now. He's only improved this year, now using the Dirk fadeaway shot more than ever.

This. If other star players wanted to be overly efficient vs shit teams they could but they don't care. Yall don't think Durant could shoot 11/12 vs the Bobcats with all of his makes coming in the paint? Come on now. It also helps that LBJ cherry picks more than anyone else in da association
