The All "He's Got The Potential (year after year)" Team
I am sick and tired of people here propping up Taj Gibson as if he's going to replace Carlos Boozer and ultimately become D. Rose's partner in a 1-2 punch where Taj is putting up 20-10 a game. Don't give me that "He needs more playing time" nonsense either.
He's a serviceable PW off the bench with limited low post game who is pretty good on the boards and that's pretty much it He's not going to emerge into the superstar people hope him to be.

LeBron James has the potential to be the next......... Larry Bird.
I'm just kidding, asterisks don't count.

Roy Hibbert Super Star
Re: The All "He's Got The Potential (year after year)" Team
Of all the guys to prompt a shut up about his potential thread, Taj Gibson? The dude's really good, sure maybe people overhype what he'd be able to do as a starter but the guy's pretty damn good. Not like the dude's Anthony Randolph or Tony Mitchell or Jeremy Lamb or Perry Jones or something.

Randolph has been that guy for years, but I think people finally stopped mentioning his potential as of last season. I don't even know if he's still in the league.
I don't agree with the other guys you listed though. They're too young, all young players with less than 3 years in the league can safely get the potential talk.

From what I've seen, he's becoming more consistent and more than capable of replacing Boozer. We already know he is a far better defender...Who here is proclaiming him to be a superstar? Nobody

Re: The All "He's Got The Potential (year after year)" Team
Shawne Williams and Gerald Green? Unless they've made some big strides, can't see why teams keep giving them contracts unless it was based on their "potential".
If Derrick Williams doesn't get out of Minny, add him to the list. Thomas Robinson as well.
