Yup it was. Sorry it's going by you that easily.

American Football athletes are among the best in the entire world, literally. Yet they get shunned out of GOAT athlete talk all the time, due to regionalization of the NFL. So if it's ok to do with NFL athletes, then I have no problem shunning cricket players, which is very regionalized as well.

Rather, you are just failing to come to grips with and acknowledge your own ignorance on the subject. You weren't speaking figuratively. You were just speaking unintelligently. You are not fooling anyone. Just read the replies to your imprudent statement.

    Are you blind?

I just gave you a list of countries outside India (some thousands of miles away) that play cricket at the top level. How can you still say it's regionalized?

England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies all play it, plus others. Regionalized?

Basically Britain and it's former colonies. It's not played in the rest of Europe, not played in North America, South America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, North Africa, etc.

It's a sport like baseball, high skill requirement with low athleticism, except baseball requires 100x (figuratively speaking) more athleticism than cricket. If we're gonna include sports like this, then Willie Mosconi is GOAT. His record of 526 consecutive shots in 14.1 straight billiards will never be touched, and he is the GOAT in his sport.

I guess I gave too many people too much credit.
    Wow, look at this backtrack.

Just shut up and leave this thread. You've been found out.

Where the hell do you see it saying GOAT athlete ?

The OP just says "Who is the greatest ?"... Says nothing about "GOAT athlete". It's probably just talking about greatest players among each sport.

By all means, Willie Mosconi is GOAT, I don't really care. It's all subjective anyways. Only you seem to have a problem with Cricket for whatever reason.
