Default Derrick Wiliams playing well as a SF

There were plenty of knocks on Derrick Williams saying he was not skilled/mobile to play and defend the SF position and from what I seen dude look's like a natural post up/slashing SF and has played well with the opportunity provided to him

The thing that's impressed me the most is just his impact regardless of numbers, he's a extremely physical SF and makes you feel him out there, he's done very solid defensive jobs on the likes of KD, Barnes, Dudley and a few others and shown to be a good pick n roll defender due to his athletic ability. He's shown me excellent off the ball movement, elite open court finishing and the MOST surprising thing in the open court he's got a excellent eye for a nice pass him and Mclemore got a crazy connection so far.

The 3 point shooting sucks the mid range looks good as do the free throws and the dude is super exciting him and Mclemore just been banging 2-3 times a game each on teams since he came. Kings got a steal if this guy can keep improving which at his age should not be an issue.

Trading him for an irrelevant role player like Luc does make it look like a steal

Sorry but the guy is not a winner. He is me first and that does not make a good PG.

See Utah Jazz ala Jerry Sloan.
    See current record.

He can't play SF consistently as a net positive starter on a team that plays winning basketball if he doesn't improve his outside shot. That goes for any player in this League, if you can be ignored because of lack of range as a wing player, you'll be a net negative unless you are transcendent at defense or play making.

Dude was too fat to play SF, and too weak to play PF in the years before...

Glad hes committed to play one of those positions.

Box score heroes seriously....Every single one of those losses were to solid teams in the West and all of them were 5 points or less and I clearly said in the first post his impact on the game was good not his numbers.......I don't give a **** about numbers he's showing he's more than capable of being a starting SF in the NBA which everyone doubted.

Am I the only one who sees anyone sent to the Kings as a black hole for fulfilling one's potential?

Kings should trade for Shumpert we actually need a defensive SG to back up Mclemore/fill in at SF instead of Salmons.

I don't get it explain, Derrick Williams has been the complete opposite of a black hole so far.

I have seen enough of Derrick Williams in Minnesota to tell he can
