Default Is it customary to tip your tailor?

Just picked up a suit from a small owner-operated tailor that I found near my office. It's run by a really sweet old asian woman and her mother who do good work for pretty cheap. I definitely plan on returning to have more stuff worked on but I'm hoping I didn't just insult her by not tipping.

Hadn't really thought about it until I paid but tipping seemed out of place. It is a professional service from an owner-operator who sets her own prices. But anyway, do you guys tip your tailor?

The Asian woman is probably used to it. You Americans are not exactly known for your generosity and good manners.

I normally don't tip - However most of the time I always end up needing something tailored very quickly(same day) so in that case I would definitely tip.

I am generous with my barber though, I also tip waiters and delivery people (food related). I know my barber personally and he's a damn good barber, charges me 12 even though he spends an hour or so on my hair. I usually tip $8-$13 depending on how much cash I have on me lol. The point is that he charges below what his time is valued.

    no, i don't.

i'm generous to other trades, but consider a tailor's fee sufficient enough.
