The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
Such a brilliant movie, but with such a BS unsatisfactory cliff hanger ending.

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
I will see it but I am wary. Didn't really like the first one and the metascore isn't much better. It just didn't compare to the first 3 to me at all... but then again I am not 14 anymore.

I thought the golden dwarf was some kind of ancient machine that was going to open it's eyes and proceed to kick the dragon's ass, at least provide a challenge, not that it just pours all over the dragon, the gold still being in a liquid state.

Its way better then the first one but just bullshit how it ends on a non-climax BS.
SPOILER:
Make it an hour longer and show them killing the bloody dragon!
I dont mind them screwing up the books and changing things but they're making it that in the third move like 3 major events that were supposed to happen at different times are all going to happen at once.

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
Haven't seen this one. The first one was pretty enjoyable, even if it did take awhile to get going. I thought the menacing antagonist with the claw hand was badass.
I just don't understand how they stretched out a short book into 3 movies whereas the first trilogy actually had 3 separate novels to be adapted.
Greedy ass studios, ruining organic pace of stories for an unnecessary amount of entries in the series.

I didn't even know The Hobbit book is only 310 pages
And studio still manages to make a trilogy out of it, damn those money grabbers...

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
edit:
Can anyone let me know what's up with Smaug's senses?
Does he have sh!tty vision or hearing or smell or something and then it turns awesome and turns sh!tty again.
He pinpoints Bilbo fairly easily, but starts to lose it real quick.
Or do the aromas of the flames overpower it.

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
I'm not watching anymore of this dude's films. All they have is people walking around and talking. I did enjoy the LOTR trilogy, but i could only watch those once. The first Hobbit...i tried to watch it about five times and fell asleep every single time. I did read the book though back in middle school.

You aren't the only one. I can see why some people like it but shit definitely isnt for me. The hobbit, LOTR, all of it
