it was a grassroots organization in charlotte called "bring back the buzz" that really got the idea going. MJ was on board with the name change but he's pushing hard to sign kwame and adam morrison. he maintains to this day that they were good picks

Adam Morrison got injured and never had a chance to come back.

Agreed it's a stupid name but nontheless, Pelicans logo is pretty nice,in fact both logos are cool looking ones
