No it's just speculation. Why would the best team in the league suddenly ruin the chemistry by brining in a ball dominant player mid season? Why would Boston trade Rondo when they can get much more than an expirer and a 28-30 pick for him?

    It makes absolutely no sense.

We would want more than an expirier an a super low pick for Rondo, we are gonna keep him and see how he goes when he gets back

Read the article. It will help you understand why.

However if this trade goes through I would love to see the Heat fans reaction to it, Rondo with West + Hibbert as his bigs?????

The article just says the generic things like pass first PG blah blah blah. It fails to mention that that pick will be in the 28-30 range, that Hill and Granger shouldn't be part of any ones rebuilding plan and that they could probably get a lot more for him. Also why on earth would the Pacers want to mess with what is a great team in the middle of the season if this was NBA 2k14, sure I'd do it, but this is real life where there is chemistry and players have to learn plays and about eachother. Rondo isn't just some player you can add in, this is a guy that is absolutely useless unless he has the ball in his hands. There is no reason for the Pacers or the Celtics to do this now.

Rondo with the ball in his hands would take the Pacers to another level, the offense would be much smoother and West and Hibbert would get even better looks than they do now because you have to respect Rondo on defense, a load of pressure would come of Paul George, they need someone like Rondo who has playoff experience to lead them.

Yeah, get the Pacers one of the best PG, which helps fill their obvious gap that always get exposed against the heat and you want to kill yourself...

I agree they will struggle if they play Georgie 30+ minutes in the playoffs. Rondo may not score much and he have no range whatsoever but the man knows how to run the offense.

Rondo would be perfect for this gritty Pacers team. However, it will take him the rest of this year to get his bearings and the team to adjust to his style of play. It's great from a future titles standpoint, but not for this year.

He's a PG, he's supposed to have the ball in his hands for most of the time

It's not like George is good at being ball dominant either

Fair point, he's a warrior though, if this trade happens I honestly believe he is ready to go for the playoffs, all he has to do is feed the ball and put his team mates in positions to score, which is what his game is based on anyway.
