Which 3 have you seen?

I usually look at lists (Sight and Sound Poll, TheyDon'tShootPicturesDoThey) and watch the most acclaimed film by a certain director. Then, depending on how much I like said film, I continue to explore the directors' filmography. Either that or I just buy the Masters of Cinema Blu-Rays!

I wish 'Masters of Cinema' released Region A Blu-rays, because they have quite a few solid releases from what I've seen in disc reviews. I'm sure many overseas wished they could get their hands on some releases from 'The Criterion Collection' too. I've blind bought a number of foreign classics from them.

The Seventh Seal is definitely my favorite Bergman movie that I've seen. Straightforward yet complex story with some great camera work and really interesting scenes with death. I'm a sucker for existential themes too so this may be why I love it so much.

Next up on my Bergman films to watch followed by 'Summer With Monika'.

I'm shocked to see no mention of Fellini, Bergman, or Kurosawa.

It's a thread for favorite movies. If it was for best, then I'd have Kurosawa up there.

Although I did like American Psycho myself.. Clockwork Orange? Meh, pointless.
