How do you know that?
Also this is the type of thing that wouldn't be happening if George still had his good lawyer. Such a bad PR move.

Zimmerman told police that after him and Trayvon exchanged words... Trayvon punched him... breaking his nose and knocking him to the ground.... then climbed on top and began slamming his head on a sidewalk

Right. It's Zimmerman's side of the story, but you repeated it like it's a fact.
It's not a fact. It's an allegation.

There's no eye witness to the first blow in the fight. So the only narrative we have is Zimmerman. We only have one story to go on, Kevin. We'll never have a complete picture of what happened... but the two closest witnesses tend to corroborate Zimmerman's chain of events...

ah. America's fascination with Zimmerman and other useless celebrity gossip.
Never seen so much people get worked up by a single man like Americans do. It's hilarious.

The first statement is true.
The second statement is not.

so if i was to say something happened and there was no other witnesses to see it, would it be considered a fact?

1 We would have to judge your reliability. Is there a reason you would lie about it? And we would have to judge if your statement is consistent with any other evidence.
In this case, there is strong, compelling reason for Zimmerman to lie: it might keep him out of jail. It doesn't mean he did lie, but you can't simply judge it on his word alone.
2 In his case, Zimmerman's testimony was disputed. He claimed Martin came up out of the bushes and said something like What's your problem and then suckerpunched him. We know Trayvon Martin was walking around talking on a cell phone and the woman he was talking to said she was talking to him right up to point the confrontation begins. She could lying too.
So to extend your analogy it would you said something and someone else says no, that's not how it happened. There's a dispute.
3. In my opinion, a lot Zimmerman's statements contradicted each other and were not consistent with other known evidence, for example, where the body was found was not near any bushes.

Two closest witnesses corroborate with Zimmerman's chain of events...so why should I just dismiss other events Zimmerman said happened?

there was no witnesses that claimed Zimmerman was sucker punched first from what i read. And obviously Zimmerman is gonna give his side of the story knowing that if he admitted to throwing the 1st punch he could be looking at a life sentence in jail.
Like i said whatever Zimmerman says cant be considered a fact.

We have the earwitness on the phone. Her narrative is that someone confronted Trayvon while he was still on the phone with her. So we have two narratives.
