Why is it so important for Canadians to see US fail at hockey? It's feels like us not medaling is as important as winning gold.

I personally don't care if the US medals or not but I'd rather them win one over a European team if it came down to it.
Like Kaiteng said before I root for North America, its just that Canada comes first.

They just came off an emotionally and physically challenging game against Canada with less than 24 hour rest. This was stacked against us

I say it's very legitimate. Being deflated with little rest and preparation is an uphill battle for any sport.
And Finland doesn't begin and end with Selanne. They are deep with skill and have the best goalie core in the world. If the game was played Sunday I think the outcome may have been much closer.
