Vince Carter isn't a 1st, 2nd or even 3rd ballot HOF'er. For all of the tools he had to work with if all he has to hang his hat on is a dunk contest and scoring a lot of points on bad teams then he should be on that 5+ year waiting list to get in. McGrady at least has some accolades (All-NBA teams) and was Top 3 at his position for many years. He's not 1st ballot either but should get in eventually, and much faster than Vince.

Of course he did, Kobe put up almost the same numbers and better in some cases on a contender, while T-Mac was just playing on a shitty team that had no hope of contending, that's why he put up some stats.

not true at all. t-mac was a great player but the injuries ruined him, just like penny and so many others. he was a great player but i dont want it to be put out there that having a great couple of seasons with no post season success should warrant a hof berth. though it always saddens me to see t-mac's emotional interview.
