I don't get this Clippers Lakers thing. I love LA and the Lakers, if the Lakers are not in the playoffs I want to support the other team from LA. All you guys make it sound like a rivalry. How many rings do the Clippers have again? How can they rival the Lakers? I just hope they win won to bring some legitimacy to their claims of being a worthwhile franchise.

Because the Clippers historically suck while the Lakers are historically contenders. The one season its the other way around you bail. You turned your back on the team when times got tough, exposing yourself as a fair weather fan. The Lakers have enough of these so good riddance.

That's how I became a Clipper fan. The real bandwagon fans are the ones that hop onto a team because they won a championship. If they haven't even won a championship yet but you like watching them, why not be a real fan? It has to start somewhere.

I've been a Clippers fan since 99. Welcome aboard OP, I respect you unlike most of the salty Lakers fans here... They just don't like seeing the Clippers do well because of the "stigma". They think that if something changes, it's bad. For example, Clippers used to suck, they're supposed to ALWAYS suck or the universe will explode. Times change... Who cares, support who you want to support. This isn't your job or your wife, you can like whoever you want!
