I'd say every champ team since '99 has had an elite PF who can hit jumpers or Shaq.

Pretty much. It's like when people say defense wins championships. Guess what, almost every championship team was great offensively and defensively

This. OP is basically saying that every champion has had a good player at either the 4 or 5 position.

    Well no shit, sherlock.

I think everybody know the Mavs won because LeBron was playing as their 6th man.

First off its Mario Elie. The fact that you didn't know that probably means its an enormous leap to call him (and many others you listed) as elite guards.

OP is just pointing out what everyone who looks at advanced stats (RAPM, etc) knows: Rim protectors have a much bigger impact on the game than people would otherwise believe.

Elie was doing work tho. lol. He was at least playing at a high level.

I think a lot of people who only look at the box scores forget how good guys like Elie, Maxwell, and Horry were. Less so Horry cuz of all the big shots he hit in his career. But yea there's no team that won a ring without good guardplay.
