That probably wouldn't go over well today.

That's most likely a month suspension or more these days. The funny thing is no one gave a shit when it happened back then. After all the physical punishment and cheapshots the Pistons dished out over the years I remember Malone was viewed as a hero among fans rather than a villain for that elbow.

Power forwards generally don't anchor defenses though, so it's not really a big deal.

It's like KG and Duncan did, and that's about it... And Duncan played C half the time.

Are there any PFs that anchor defenses? If they do, aren't they "really" a C?

I suppose someone like Anthony Davis could be considered in this way. However he seems like he'll be playing C once his frame fills out.
