It has always been a general rule that if just about every fan of that sport knows the name of a ref (Ed Hochuli being an exception) then that ref is bad at his job. Joey Crawford is considered a great ref by some close to the game, and he gets a lot of playoff games... But the fact is that he's trying to hard to be remembered. He wants to make the BIG call and be loud about it.

He needs to go. It's embarrassing for the league. He's like a rec league ref out there.


(And no, I'm not saying he did anything to ruin last night's game other than to make it annoying to watch).

I agree with OP. He makes so many bad calls that I start to think that he's doing on purpose for any reason.
Last night despite KD's choking, it was something he should never do.
