We had jin and its safe to say he was a bust. But what about real street Asian rappers? Would you buy a record by an asian artist rapping about the streets? I think cambodians are the only asians that can go mainstream and be respected and taken seriously. Because people wouldnt automatically stereotype cambodians because they dont really look asian. Its unfortunate for jin because people just couldnt overlook his race, even though he had talent.

Cambodian rappers are different they just feel authentic.

Thats the thing. Stereotypes are strong .

Painting all asians with the same brush is like lumping people into a "other" category.

To me - at the end of the day good music is good music so I'd support anyone pushing quality material regardless of their ethnicity.

With that said, that battle MC Dumbfoundead is alright.

Must be dat suburban type rap like pharell or drake.. can't imagine many asians being good unless they are dirt poor like eminem or something.

i think so, if they're dope. there aren't really that many asian rappers tho. that young tee guy you posted is nice though, that "i'm a cambo" song was actually really dope. wasn't feeling cocaine flow and the guy singing was just all right. that son of the streets song was good. but yeah i could definitely see that young tee guy blowing up, he's definitely talented

I'm hoping no one releases a rap album again. Terrible "music"
