Greatest Playoff Run in NBA History...
1949 George Mikan
30.3 ppg on .541 TS% (absolutely amazing for the time) + at least 15 rebounds per game and being a defensive anchor
There isn't any data on his MPG but EVEN if we assume he played 48 mpg his WS/48 would be an absurd .420 (remember we're assuming worst case scenario here!). Per would've been ridiculous too.
By comparison:
'67 Wilt - .253
'71 Kareem - .271
'91 MJ - .333
'94 Hakeem - .210
'00 Shaq - .283
'03 Duncan - .279
'09 Bryant - .238
'11 Dirk - .210
'12 'Bron - .284
Mikan - > .420
We can clearly conclude from this that Mikan was at least twice as good as peak Hakeem.

He played 10 playoff games.
The lane was 6 feet wide.
Against 6-6 centers.
Stop being stupid.

I envy you OP, must have been an honor to watch him live
I have him 1/1A with mike, but the more I research i don't even think mj stacks up to him. He's on a tier of his own.

During his playoff run Mikan's team player the Washington Capitols, Rochester Royals, and Chicago Stags.
Capitols Starting Center - Kleggie Hermsen (6-9 would be listed 6-11 today)
Royals Centers - Risen (6-7/6-8 today), Mike Novak (6-11 today)
Stags Centers - Ed Mikan (6-10 today)

It definitely was. Great to see the younger generation starting to appreciate Mikan for what he was -the GOAT.

Did you take that photo of Mikan? I didn't believe that Mikan actually had the GOAT '83.3 game', I feel so stupid now
His legacy just becomes ever more legendary

Don't forget that Mikan himself was just 6'10, so it's not like he had 5 inches over everyone like Wilt
just pure domination

After winning the NCAA title in 1945, Oklahoma A&M played NIT champion DePaul in a Red Cross benefit game. Kurland outplayed six-foot-nine George Mikan in a 52-44 victory that meant an undisputed national championship. Kurland was named All-American three years in a row and won the 1946 Helms Foundation award as the nation's outstanding player. After graduating, Kurland went on to further basketball heights with the Phillips Petroleum Company 66ers and with gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic teams in 1948 and 1952.
Bob Kurland... GOAT.

Without question the greatest run. Led the playoffs in scoring with 30.3 ppg in a league that averaged only 78.5 ppg and shot the highest TS% while doing so.
