They should have done the Josh Smith deal when it was on the table, the Rondo deal, and even the scrapetogether deals teams were offering after that because he didn't fit with anything they hve tried to do since then.

It doesn't matter how many other bad contracts are out there. Until this year, we only had one horrible contract, and that was in Boozer. Now just when we got rid of it, we went out and found another one in Gasol, albeit not as bad.

7 million for a big man is not nearly the contract Boozer received. Boozer is making almost 17 million this year.

Besides Gasol is a better overall player than Boozer by a long shot. Better overall defender, better passer, better offensive player etc.

Alot of teams in the league would have killed to have gotten Gasol for 3 years/22 million. It's not a bad deal and it is one of the better deals this offseason.
