Great off season for the Mavs. If Dirk has one last hurrah in him then this team can contend for a championship.

If Dirk can stay at around this level in limited minutes like Duncan was able to these last 2 years...this team could contend each of the next 3 years.

parsons and dirk is great.. other than that its all garbage.

no PG, no perimeter defense, tyson is old and unreliable, no rebounding..

theres a reason the Magic went on a Finals run after Jameer got hurt.. he's not any good. ..Rafer Alston carried the PG spot to the Finals

Yea...assuming Chandler is still good. Hopefully he comes back at a good price. We keep Ellis...and continue to add to the roster.

The dream scenario is build a roster good enough to contend these next 3 years....and then we have a good enough team to get Dirk interested enough to sign on for a couple more years and play even a little less and just come in to stretch the floor...etc.

Could be like 5 years of contention kind of like the Spurs pulled out of their asses back in 2010 when it looked like the end.

you dont have the defense and you dont have the great PG play.. you also lack a dominant post presence who can bang downlow (dirk is high post)

that is good. want to keep the weight off as much as possible. that is exactly what duncan and manu did...and it's paid huge dividends.

Well I expect Dirk to play at a all star level for the next years but for the Mavs to win it all they Dirk to truly have at least 1 more epic playoff run. Dirk really struggled against the Spurs last year. The size of Splitter really bothered him. Although he just seemed off all series. He missed a lot of easy open looks as well. I hope he bounces back from that series with a great year. I'm sure he will. Like you said team just needs to stay healthy. Hopefully Harris is rejuvenated, he played really well against the Spurs and if healthy he could be a 6th man of the year candidate.

Yea well the Spurs are just plain stacked from top to bottom. Mavs look good but man that Spurs bench could probably beat some of the bottom feeders in this league. Mills, Ginobili, Diaw could be starters on a lot of other teams. I'm sure they will keep Dirk's minutes down but they don't have quite the luxury that the Spurs have. There will be games in which they will have to play Dirk more minutes than they want or they will lose.
