    Superman Returns is extremely boring IMO...and extremely forgettable

    It was bad to the point that they didn't want to continue the series with that actor

    It was a movie made for a certain kind of audience. Perhaps more of a female audience. It wasn't what it needed to be, I guess. I think I could lop the first quarter off and start the movie a bit more aggressively and maybe find a way to start the movie with the jet disaster sequence or something. I could have grabbed the audience a little more quickly. I don't know what would have helped. Probably nothing. If I could go again, I would do an origin. I would reboot it.

    even Wolverine Origins had an awesome Sabertooth, which is 100x cooler than anything found in Superman Returns

    I would watch Wolverine Origins over Superman Returns, and just turn off the TV at the end fight scene lol

    supermans outfit just looks stupid and is a stupid design. Nothing you can really do to make it look cool in real life. It looks just as lame in Man of Steel also. No one could pull that shit off.

    Well it was bad compared to the comics, which aren't even that great. Also as a movie, for someone who knows nothing about Spawn, it was bad. It's just a really bad movie.

    I agree...it's pretty much a lost cause

    however it was improved upon in MoS...




    the Superman Returns outfit just looks flat out "gay"

    okay that might be the case, but Routh looks like he is on his way to a gay parade...not that there is anything wrong with that other than it is just an awful look for a Superman Movie

    but as Nick pointed out I suppose the outfit is a pretty gay design by nature...red underwear over blue tights lol...pretty difficult to make that look cool
