2k14 MyCareer mode: player can't dunk..why?

I remember reading somewhere that it has to do with your guy's dunk tendency (a stat you can't edit). Evidently, if you get more open dunks (breakways in transition or w/e) it'll improve your dunk tendency.

Why the fvck do you need to assign a dunk package? A 6'7 SG with high dunk and vertical rating should automatically at least be a rim-grazer. Shit is stupid. What? Was he unable to dunk prior to coming to the league but worked extra hard to become Vince Carter?
