No players complain about that. US media makes it up. Every single time it was some player or agent saying they didn't even know about the US media claiming it.
Jennings said he "didn't get paid". 2 days later he was giving an interview saying he never even talked to any US media and they made the whole thing up.
Believe it or not, there are laws and lawyers and legal statutes in Europe. USA is not the only country or place in the world that has such things.
And under FIBA Europe laws, and something called VAT which is in Switzerland (because they are neutral) all the sports laws are handled for the sport of basketball.
If a team does not pay a player, they are banned from signing any players, and they are kicked out of the European leagues.
Also, NO TEAM CAN EVEN PLAY IN EUROLEAGUE if it owes money to any players.
No team is even allowed into the competition at all if they do that. Not even can they play in the 2nd class Eurocup either.
And like I said, they are not even allowed to sign players.
There is no team in Euroleague that cannot pay players. Some teams try to run up debts and get out of it, but no matter how historical the club is, how much support they have, they will quickly kicked out.
Like Union Olimpija got sent down to Eurocup, then kicked out totally. Same is about to happen to Cibona Zagreb and now Partizan Belgrade is on a similar path.
Siena didn't cover debts and the team was bankrupted and voided all within like 1 week. They didn't make like 1 deadline and they got ejected from Eurolague and Italian League.
And other big clubs like AEK from Greece and Treviso from Italy - some of the biggest clubs ever in Europe, they tried that getting behind in payments and they were voided as clubs and discarded.
Same thing just happened with Spartak Saint Petersburg, they missed some deadline on some club debts and immediately they were disbanded and kicked out of European basketball. Just like that they erased the 2nd biggest Russian club of all time.
This reporting in USA media that Euroleague and Eurocup teams can simply "not pay players" and "get away with it" and that "Americans never get paid" or whatever is absolutely insane and absurd.
If a team actually even gets behind in payments or racks up too much debt - just for that, they dissolve the club, no matter how big or important it is. Those are all very very famous clubs in Europe and they all had tremendous history and some of them were filthy rich too.
They got into some financial issues and just like that they are gone instantly.
No way in hell does Euroleague/Eurocup tolerate teams to refuse paying players. And under the FUBA Europe VAT in Switzerland, it is illegal to do so. The judges there will just put orders on the team and they will be legally banned.
And then they will be forced to pay any debts plus interest plus lawyer fees plus court costs plus taxes, agent fees and salaries and everything else. So any team doing that would end up with a way higher bill than just paying a salary.
And again, teams are not allowed to register for a league or sign players if they didn't pay their players. Like in the Greek League, teams are not even allowed to register for the league if they have debts. They can't sign players and they can't even register in the league. The club gets automatically disbanded and ended. They don't even get a chance for anything, the club is just dissolved.
It's one of the most craziest things of all in US sports media that claim that they make how none of the players get paid, even making up stories that the players never even talked to them about it and it was not true, like with Jennings.

Most of the not being paid stuff I've read wasn't actual euroleague teams, it was things like lower league turkish teams.
Anyway I'm not sure how Brooks will do over there, he can score but I'm not sure his game is rounded enough to really fit in well there.
