Default Do people really think the Big 3 Heat were more "stacked" than the 80s Lakers or C's?

    80's Lakers
    Kareem- 1 MVP, 7 MVP votes, 6 All-NBA selections, 2 All-Defensive selections
    Worthy- 1 MVP vote, 2 All-NBA selections
Cooper- 2 MVP votes, 2x DPOY, 8 All-Defensive team selections
    Wilkes- 2 MVP votes
    Nixon- 2 MVP votes

    80's Celtics
    Parish- 5 MVP votes, 2 All-NBA selections
    McHale- 3 MVP votes, 1 All-NBA selection, 6 All-Defensive team selections
    Archibald- 2 MVP votes, 1 All-NBA selection
Johnson- 1 MVP vote, 4 All-Defensive team selections
Walton- 1 Sixth Man of the Year

    2010 Heat
    Wade- 3 MVP votes, 3 All-NBA selections
    Bosh- Nothing

FYI, MVP votes= the number of years they received an MVP vote

No, but relative to their competition they were, at least for the first few years.

Not a chance in hell. The Showtime Lakers were probably one of the most ridiculously stacked teams in NBA history.

To me, the only year that I considered them stacked was in 2011 when Wade was top 3 and at his peak. Too bad that was their first year together and the learning curve was still something they had to get over.

The big 3 themselves may have made the '11 team stacked, but they started Joel Anthony and Mike Bibby's corpse. I think the only time they were truly stacked was the '13 regular season. LeBron was playing at a historic level and Wade settled into his 2nd option role (never looked comfortable in '12) and was looking close to his prime self up until the injury. That was the only time during the big 3 era that they were healthy and clicking for an extended period, hence the 66 wins and 27 in a row.

The definition of stacked changed as soon as Kobe starting winning championships. Get with it. One all star teammate = stacked! And Lebron had two?!?!

    Miami Big 3

    1 superstar

1 constantly injured star (Wade after 2011)

    1 pretty good player (Bosh)

Heck you can find 3-4 more stacked teams than that every year in the league, forget about all time

Hell no, the Lakers or Celtics of the 80's would have destroyed that Heat team. They were good to great at every position and had better players off the bench.

    Biggest myth on ISH

The lakers had Bynum, Gasol, and Odom as their frountcourt, by far the best in the league

they were 7'1, 7'0, and 6'10, elite rebounding, and length for defense

Then they had better role players than miami, fisher, ariza/artest, vujacic

And ofcourse the GOAT coach Phil Jackson

Plus the competition was WAY weaker, they didnt face the superteams of today, and that is a FACT
